Solar power and BESS

－Our first power project in North Africa－

The project comprises a 1,000 MW solar PV plant combined with a 600 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in the Aswan Governorate, Egypt. This is Kyuden Group’s first investment in power project in North Africa.

The Egyptian government is promoting the development of renewable energy, with a national goal to increase the share of renewables in its energy mix to 42% by 2030. Leveraging its advanced technological expertise and extensive experience, the Kyuden Group will take on the challenge of realizing a carbon-neutral society in Egypt.
