Located in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, the Taweelah B project supplies both electricity and water to the Emirates Water and Electricity Company, under a Power and Water Purchase Agreement. The project does this by operating a natural gas thermal power generation facility, which has a total output of 2,000 MW (equity ownership of 120 MW) and a seawater desalination facility of 730,000 tons per day (equity ownership of about 40,000 tons).
We acquired a 6％ equity interest in the project company that operates Taweelah B IWPP, and 15% in the operation and maintenance company in March 2020.
