Battery Energy Storage Projects in Texas

-Kyuden Group’s First BESS Project in the U.S.-

This project comprises two large-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) in Texas, marking the Kyuden Group’s first entry into BESS in the United States.

As electricity demand increases and renewable energy production grows in the U.S., ensuring a stable power supply by adequately balancing power supply and demand has become a challenge. Through our investment in these projects, we aim to help store and supply renewable-energy sourced power efficiently while reducing CO₂ emissions by curbing thermal power generation. Furthermore, we expect to gain operational expertise, which we can leverage for power supply-demand balancing in Japan, where the introduction of renewable energy is accelerating.
