Kyuden International Corporation establishes representative office in Thailand

KIC’s first overseas office in Asia

Press release

Kyuden International Corporation (KIC) has today established a representative office in Bangkok, Thailand.

KIC have up until now engaged in 12 overseas energy businesses in 12 countries and regions, and 80 overseas consulting projects in 23 countries and regions. Especially in Asia, we have participated in many IPP projects, such as Phu My 3 in Vietnam and Sarulla Geothermal in Indonesia, one of the largest geothermal IPP projects in the world. In May 2019, we accelerated momentum and expanded our business by acquiring indirect interests in EGCO, one of the largest IPP operators in Thailand. The main objective of establishing the Thailand Representative Office is to gather information on energy projects in Asia, where the demand for electricity is expected to steadily increase.

Kyuden Group is committed to expand its overseas business interests in order to achieve the Kyuden Group Management Vision 2030 “Kyuden Group: Creating the future, starting from Kyushu.” KIC, together with Kyuden Group, will expand its overseas energy business not only in Asia but worldwide, by taking advantage of its top-class technological prowess and considerable experience.
