South Field Energy Gas-Fired Power Plant Begins Commercial Operation

U.S. Power Generation Project, in which we have participated since the construction stage, is now in full operation

  Kyuden Group is pleased to announce that on October 5, 2021, South Field Energy Project (“SFE”) in the United States, started commercial operation (1,182 MW).


  SFE, which is a natural gas fired electric generation facility located in Columbiana County, Ohio, utilizes a combined-cycle generating system equipped with state-of-the-art gas turbines.

 
  SFE will sell energy into the PJM market,
providing efficient, flexible and reliable power to the northeastern United States. Kyuden Group, together with an investor group, joined the project in August 2018 (announced on August 24, 2018).

 
  By using our top-class technological prowess and expertise, we aim to achieve the equity ownership target of 5,000 MW set for 2030, which is one of the business performance targets listed in the Kyuden Group Management Vision 2030.
